Governing the use of this platform and the booking of vehicles on the island
These terms and conditions govern your use of carrentalcorfu.gr and the booking services we provide. By using this website and making a booking, you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform.
carrentalcorfu.gr is a booking platform for car rental on Corfu, Greece. We act as an intermediary between travellers and local vehicle suppliers. We do not own vehicles, operate rental desks, or employ drivers. Our role is to connect you with suppliers and to facilitate the booking process.
When you complete a booking through this platform, the rental agreement is concluded directly between you and the supplier named in your booking voucher. We are not a party to that agreement. The supplier is responsible for providing the vehicle, for the condition of the vehicle, and for all aspects of the rental service.
The terms of the rental, including coverage, excess liability, mileage limits, fuel policy, and any deposit requirement, are set by the supplier and are stated in the booking voucher you receive before you confirm your reservation. You are bound by those terms once you accept the booking.
We facilitate payment of the advance amount by card through our secure payment gateway. The balance, if any, is settled directly with the supplier at the time of vehicle collection. Any deposit is held by the supplier, not by us, and is subject to the supplier's terms regarding refund and deductions.
We provide a platform that displays available vehicles from multiple suppliers on the island. We process your booking request, collect the advance payment, and issue a booking voucher. We pass your details to the supplier so that they can prepare the vehicle for collection.
We do not inspect vehicles, verify supplier insurance policies, or oversee the handover process. We do not resolve disputes between you and the supplier regarding vehicle condition, damage claims, or deposit deductions. Those matters are between you and the supplier. We do not provide roadside assistance, replacement vehicles, or on-island support services.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, vehicle availability, specifications, and terms are supplied by third parties and may change without notice. We are not liable for errors or omissions in supplier-provided data.
If your booking includes free cancellation, you may cancel up to the time limit stated in your voucher and receive a full refund of the advance payment. Cancellations must be submitted through the email address or contact method provided in your voucher. Cancellations made after the free cancellation period, or cancellations of bookings that do not include free cancellation, are subject to the cancellation policy stated in your voucher.
Amendments to a booking, such as changes to pick-up date, drop-off date, or pick-up location, are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to amend a booking. We cannot guarantee that amendments will be possible.
If you do not collect the vehicle and do not cancel the booking in advance, the advance payment is forfeited. The supplier may also charge a no-show fee in accordance with their terms.
Our liability is limited to the advance payment you made through our platform. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of this website or from the rental itself. This includes, but is not limited to, losses resulting from vehicle breakdown, accidents, delays, missed flights, or any act or omission by the supplier.
The supplier is responsible for the vehicle and for compliance with Greek road traffic law, insurance law, and consumer protection law. Any claim relating to the vehicle, the rental service, or the conduct of the supplier must be directed to the supplier in the first instance.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Greece. Any dispute arising from your use of this website or from a booking made through this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece.
If you have a complaint about our service as an intermediary, or if you believe we have failed to fulfil our obligations under these terms, contact us at the email address provided on our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time and will work with you to resolve the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the relevant consumer protection authority in Greece.
